| |
A transload or multimodal facility is a place where freight is loaded from railcar to truck or truck to railcar. The facility provides door to door service for customers who traditionally would not have access to the rail, labor and equipment to load or unload railcars. Domestic and international transportation planning services are available through Mallory Alexander International Logistics. |

Whether customers of the NPCC are local manufacturers, distributors, retailers or suppliers of these companies, the ability to ship by rail offers another option for shippers to reduce transportation costs. | What types of freight will ship through the center? |
| |
The facility is ideal for lumber, steel pipe or oversized/overweight cargo such as transformers, wind farm towers and other large equipment. There are areas within the center that may be used for staging project cargo as well as having access to equipment and operators to load and unload railcars and trucks. Containerized freight moving internationally or domestically can also be shipped through the center. |

| What is the BNSF Premier Transload Network? |

The BNSF Premier Transload Network are facilities strategically located throughout the US who work together to provide origin and destination services for rail customers. Those services are combined to provide the customer trucking, warehousing, inventory control and transloading at the origin and destination in conjunction with the rail service.

| How do I route freight into the center?
|
| |
The facility is served by both the BNSF Railway and the Canadian Pacific Railway. Freight should be routed to Bismarck/CPRS/DELY or specifically to Track MDVW/CP, Ramp V58. The rail billing should show Mallory Alexander International Logistics as the notify party. Railcars will not be accepted with Mallory Alexander or the Northern Plains Commerce Centre shown as the Consignee without prior authorization. The NPCC is a 243-acre fully developed industrial park site. Land parcels of various sizes are available for lease or purchase with either direct or indirect rail access. |

| What kind of companies should consider locating in the NPCC? |
| |
The NPCC is designed for companies that expect to move large volumes of freight by rail and/or truck. Typically that includes advanced manufacturers, ag-processors, warehouse and distribution companies. Smaller shippers will be able to access the transportation amenities available within the NPCC regardless of their location through the services provided by Mallory Alexander. |
